Crynodeb

As a key member of the Programme Management Office (PMO) you will primarily support the Defence Estates Optimisation Programme (and may provide support to VSSP as required), a Cat A programme at £3.4Bn to optimise the Army estate by 2040. It comprises of circa 36 reprovision projects as well as associated site disposals with the aim to enable the future laydown of the Army.

The role is varied and wide-ranging and would suit an aspiring project delivery professional with strong attention to detail to work in a PMO function, providing the support required from the PMO Lead to support the Programme Director and SRO to drive forward delivery of the programme. This role covers responsibilities across the P3M spectrum and would offer an opportunity to engage widely across the business at various levels, including briefing senior leaders. The role offers good scope for development in this area, with opportunities to undertake professional training in line with Directorate objectives as well as develop wider Project Delivery skills as part of a high-profile PMO.

Key responsibilities:

As a key delivery resource within the PMO you will be expected to provide advice and guidance across a range of areas including:
Interface with Programme/Project Teams. First point of contact for Programme and Project Teams regarding PMO activity, especially related to approvals information.
Governance Support (e.g. Programme Board). Support the PMO lead for the Programme Board: Scheduling and diary management, Artefact and slide review and preparation, maintain the ROD's (Record of Decision).
Information Management. Manage programme File Plans, ensuring documentation handled and stored in accordance with local policy.
Change Coordination. Coordinate the programme change control process.
Artefact Management. Management of programme related artefacts, ensuring content remains relevant and documents updated in a timely manner.
Benefits Coordination. Coordinate the delivery of the Benefits Management Strategy and Plan.
Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Opportunities (RAIDO) Coordination. To coordinate pan-Defence Lines of Development (DLoD) RAIDO activity and associated engagements.
Learning from Experience (LFE) Management. Capturing and disseminating programme and project LFE in accordance with Army Command Standing Order (ACSO) 1118.
Reporting Support. Support Line Management in all reporting activity.
