Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: North Star & Queens Drive Campus
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: between £36,006 - £40,308
We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate financial insights and supporting decision-making across the College. This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled, detail-oriented finance professional ready to contribute to high-quality financial management in a dynamic education setting. Study support will also be provided.
Your Role Will Include:
Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and statutory year-end accounts
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and control account management
Assisting with budgeting, reforecasting, and income recognition processes
Collaborating with budget holders and managers across the College
Providing system support and reporting using Open Accounts and other finance tools
Supporting project work
Completing financial returns (e.g. ONS) and providing cover for VAT submissions
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in management and financial reporting
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with attention to detail
Proficiency in using financial systems (e.g. Open Accounts) and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and data protection
