We're looking for a strategic, commercially astute, and results-driven Head of Financial Accounting to join their senior leadership team in a newly created role. This is a pivotal leadership role offering autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to shape the financial future of a trusted retail name.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire the Financial Accounting team, ensuring high standards and delivery of key objectives
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, statutory cashflow, and compliance with IAS 17 and IFRS 16
- Own weekly cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Enhance financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and compliance
- Ensure robust financial controls and manage audit processes
- Support new business initiatives with accurate financial planning and integration
What You'll Bring
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with ~5 years post-qualified experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Deep understanding of IFRS 16, IFRS, and UK GAAP
- Advanced data analysis and financial interpretation skills
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and Board members
