Post Title: Community Works Operative 4 (LGV) - Modern Apprenticeship (2 Posts)
Location: Inverness
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: HC03 - HC04 : £26,243 - £29,879 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: This role is open to the development of a candidate to a Community services Operative 4 (LGV). The position initially will be on a fixed grade basis and will change as a successful assessment is achieved. This will be a progressive approach to the development of candidates to a this post and will provide a structure for set levels of advancement in skills, knowledge and competence leading to an Level SCQF 5 qualification. The apprenticeship will be a contract with the employee that covers the advancement and outcomes for the Council and candidate. Progression at each stage will be dependent on achieving successful completion of the course stage and assessment by the Roads Officer. The starting point would be a National 4 level school qualification and the completion would be a Community Works operative 4 (LGV) post.

Requirements
