Are you a passionate and experienced chef ready to lead a small team in a vibrant educational setting? Aramark is looking for a Chef Manager to join us at the South Bristol Skills Academy, where you’ll play a key role in delivering fresh, nutritious, and exciting food to students and staff alike.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the day-to-day kitchen operations, producing hot and cold food for our breakfast and lunch services, including grab & go and deli-style offerings.
- Ensure portion control, minimise food waste, and take ownership of quality and consistency.
- Manage financial reporting systems and support budgeting processes.
- Oversee hospitality events and ensure food production follows standardised recipes and brand guidelines.
- Maintain stock control, placing timely orders, managing deliveries, and conducting regular stocktakes.
- Lead and coach your team, setting standards and supporting development needs.
- Provide excellent customer service, including handling and resolving complaints.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant culinary or cookery qualification, with hands-on experience ideally gained in a post-high school or similar catering environment.
- Confidence managing a small kitchen team and supervising day-to-day operations.
- An understanding of P&L and stocktaking with solid financial awareness.
- A proactive approach to leadership and the ability to coach and inspire your team.
- The ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks is essential.
