About the RoleAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Gloucester. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and personal care when necessary.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development.
