Job Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and dynamic RGNs with a background in Emergency and Acute care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident working in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and complex conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate assessment and treatment to patients arriving in emergency or acute settings
Triage and prioritise patient care based on clinical urgency
Work closely with A&E doctors, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies
Support patients and families during highly stressful situations
Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans
Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and clinical governance policies
Adapt to the needs of different emergency settings (e.g., Resus, Majors, Minors)
Requirements:
Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Minimum [6–12] months of recent experience in an Emergency or Acute medical setting
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work under pressure
Up-to-date mandatory training and Immunisation
Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
