Summary
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered General Nurses (RGNs) with a specialty in Midwifery and Maternity to join our team. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, safe, and supportive care to women throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide holistic maternity care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages
Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing during labour and delivery
Administer medications and manage pain relief, including epidural and other interventions
Assist obstetricians during labour, deliveries, and emergency procedures
Educate and support women and families regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
Maintain accurate, timely patient records and care plans
Respond to emergencies with competence and professionalism
Adhere to NMC guidelines, local policies, and safeguarding procedures
Midwife Specific Certificates
o CTG Certificate
o NLS Certificate
Requirements:
Valid NMC registration as an RGN with midwifery or maternity experience
Minimum [6–12] months of recent experience in a maternity setting
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Up-to-date mandatory training and immunizations (e.g., BLS, PMVA, Manual Handling)
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to work various shifts (days/nights/weekends)
