Please note that applications are capped at 25 please apply promptly. We are looking for a team manager to provide site based leadership to our busy Document and Results Management Team. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership and organisational skills. This fixed term position is well suited to someone looking to gain hands on experience who has a proven track record of thriving in a very busy but supportive environment. JOB PURPOSE: Based in our Document and Results Management Team, your main responsibilities will be: To provide local team based leadership To support Nexus to ensure that consistently high quality standards and practices are applied across all areas of patient care and service provision To ensure and promote a positive, fair, innovative and safe working environment for staff at all levels. To ensure their team delivers to service targets or Key performance indicators To support Nexus to ensure and maintain high standards of corporate and information governance To act as a deputy to the Centralised Function Service Manager if and when required and in their absence. To support Nexus to develop positive and effective working relationships and communication systems between Nexus and NHS England, CCG, NHS providers, GP Federation, Patient Liaison Group and other external bodies and stakeholders. We are a collaborative team, and the post holder may also be called upon to support at other Nexus sites, all based in South East London. RESPONSIBILITIES Team Management To provide direct line management to members of your allocated team To oversee your teams to delivery to service targets or key performance indicators where set To escalate significant service challenges to the Centralised Service Manager To organise and attend meetings with your team members to review service delivery, provide updates and information and enable the sharing of good practice and development of good working relationships, etc. Includes preparing agendas and taking/distributing minutes/action points from these meetings. To attend relevant external and internal meetings as required for development of Nexus Ensure that all services and practices comply with Care Quality Commission, CCG, legislative and all other key quality and service requirements and standards. Support the relevant Centralised Function and Cluster leads in the implementation of the aims and objectives at site level in relation to patient services. Support the relevant Cluster lead(s) as required in overseeing the business estates strategy at site level Patient Services Develop, organise and manage the day to day delivery of services of your team Ensure the on-going development, management and improvement of patient services To ensure that existing team administrative systems are functioning efficiently and make suggestions for improvement. To ensure that the processes for referral management/records management/document and results management are functioning to an optimum level. In liaison with the Centralised Function Service Manager to disseminate information to the whole practice team in relation to patient services including appointment availability and any agreed system changes. To be the first point of contact for queries or concerns raised about the functioning of your team. Person Specification: ESSENTIAL Good level of education (5 GCSEs or equivalent) Relevant team management qualification or equivalent experience of working as a team leader / site manager. Evidence of on-going professional development At least 3 years experience with proven track record of working in a multidisciplinary team and of taking lead responsibility for areas of work preferably in a health sector. Computer literate with the ability to use the full range of Microsoft office packages, including Word, Excel, applications and email. Must be a team player, with an ability to engage positively and with empathy at all levels. Ability to manage resources and staff effectively to deliver services. Proven ability to integrate, build and motivate teams to improve performance.
