At SWRAC we support individuals to thrive through real-life and relevant education programmes. Our intention is to provide people with the skills, knowledge and experience to BE resilient, confident & independent, to GROW into education, employment or meaningful activity, LIVE healthily, BE active & responsible citizens and BE safe.

Due to continued expansion we are looking for a committed and experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to join our friendly team in Merseyside. This role will require travel between our Centres in Bootle, Southport and Widnes. A permanent base location is flexible and will be agreed upon in line with the successful candidate's home location.

The main purpose of the role are:
-Monitor, review and evaluate SWRAC’s systems and processes to ensure that learners are receiving a quality educational experience.
-Monitor, review and evaluate the quality of assessment processes and practice and ensure awarding body/RARPA standards are maintained.
-Monitor the quality of tutor/LSA performance, identify development needs and facilitate development to maintain and improve the quality of education.
-Ensure documentation and records meet quality and regulatory requirements.
-Monitor, review and evaluate effective of curriculums
-Curriculum design/Creation of lesson plans and resources

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-Plan and prepare monitoring activities according to the requirements of own role.
-Determine whether assessment processes and systems meet and operate according to quality requirements.
-Check that tutors meet the requirements for their role
-Analyse tutor capabilities and potential in the context of their objectives and other requirements.
-Agree and prioritise tutor learning needs and produce individual development plans with assessors to reflect these.
-Provide tutors with feedback, advice and support to help them maintain and improve their teaching and assessment practice.
-To track Learner progress and check that teaching and learning is carried out according to curriculum and agreed procedures.
-Check that assessment methods are safe, fair, valid and reliable.
-Check that assessment decisions are made using specified criteria.
-Compare assessment decisions to ensure that they are consistent
-To chair and minute standardisation and qualification specific assessor meetings as appropriate.

Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
· Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice Qualifications, or V1 Internal Verifiers Award, or D34 Internal Verifiers Award.

· Experience working as an IQA/Internal Verifier within further education setting

· Knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)

· Full UK driving license with access to a car

Special Attributes / Requirements

· Ability to travel around the Merseyside area (and on occasion to other areas of the UK) in an agreed timely manner

· Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure

· Full-time position (part-time considered)

· Current driving licence.
