Us:
M C Kelly Ltd is an award-winning wholesale butcher supplying quality meat
products across the UK. As a growing business, we have developed a number of
bespoke IT systems to support production, logistics, and administration. We are
looking for an IT Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience
maintaining and developing our technology infrastructure.
Role
Overview:
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day IT needs of a busy production
site. You will assist with maintaining network stability, supporting users with
hardware and software issues, and helping to ensure the security of our
systems. There will also be opportunities to develop programming skills and
gain experience with our MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining the site’s network
infrastructure to ensure stability and uptime.
Support the installation and configuration of
new computers and hardware.
Help staff with Office 365, email, and general
IT support queries.
Assist with network security and user access
management.
Learn to maintain and support our bespoke MRP
system.
Work with the IT team on troubleshooting and
resolving technical issues.
Gain exposure to in-house software development
and automation projects.
What
We’re Looking For:
Keen interest in IT, networking, and
technology.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive
approach.
Willingness to learn and develop a wide range
of IT skills.
Basic understanding of networking or
programming is a bonus, but not essential.
Good communication skills to support users
across all departments.
Training
& Development:
This is an apprenticeship position combining hands-on experience with formal
training. You will be mentored by experienced staff and have the opportunity to
develop skills in networking, user support, and software development.
