An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and exceptional Patient Pathway Coordinator within Gynaecology service based in Newham University Hospital. The successful applicant must be patient focus, proactive, and organised with the ability to multitask and deal with frequent disruptions in a busy office environment.
We are looking for a hardworking individual who demonstrates close attention to detail,good knowledge of speciality specific patient pathways in accordance with the 18week management from referral to treatment. The successful candidate musthave a positive approach to their work with good organisational and excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time post comprised of 37.5 hours per week; working hours are from 9am to 5pm.This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledgebase within the Womens & Children Health Division. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the O&G consultants and/or other clinical / administration members of staff.
• To be the point of contact for patients for all issues relating to their pathway of care, both for inpatients and outpatients.
• The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (POD), under the direction of the Clinical Lead, and will provide expertise in the pro-active management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly
• The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focussed and knowledgeable point of contact.
• To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) will describe how the functions of this role will be carried out along with the timescales that will be adhered to.
