We Do What We Say
That’s why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises—people who enjoy getting things done and doing them the right way.
As CDM Compliance Manager within the Anglian Water Alliance, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe delivery of projects by ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. You’ll work closely with delivery teams, design leads and supply chain partners to embed best practice, raise standards and reduce risk across all phases of construction activity.
You’ll act as a subject matter expert on CDM compliance, championing the principles of prevention and supporting a collaborative, safe-by-design culture across the alliance.
This role can be based in Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire or Norfolk, with travel across the Anglian Water region as required.
Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in…
- Ensuring all parties fulfil their legal duties under the CDM Regulations across multiple water and wastewater projects
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and drive compliance from design through to delivery
- Providing CDM-related guidance, training and support to operational and design teams
- Reviewing and assessing project documentation, including Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Conducting audits and site inspections to monitor adherence to CDM, reporting findings and tracking corrective actions
- Promoting safe planning and early contractor involvement to reduce risk at source
- Representing the alliance in regulatory matters related to CDM compliance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting the development and refinement of systems, procedures and training materials related to CDM
We would love to hear from you if…
You have a solid working knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015 and their practical application in a construction or utilities environment. Ideally, you’ll hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) and bring a background in HSE, compliance or project delivery.
You’ll also be an effective communicator with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. Experience in the water industry or within a regulated utility alliance would be beneficial, though not essential.
