Salary - £32, 125 per annum
Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for detail? MHA is looking for a Cash Allocation Senior to join us on a two-year fixed term contract, supporting the day-to-day operations while we undergo an exciting period of finance transformation.
This role has been created to provide essential support to the Cash Allocation Team, allowing Senior Colleagues to focus on our new system implementation. Whilst this role isn't directly involved in the project, it is a key part of ensuring operational stability and continuity through change.
In this role you will be, responsible for the accurate and timely allocation of all income, handle payment queries, resolve discrepancies and monitor unallocated cash levels.
You will work closely with the Cash Allocation Manager to minimise unapplied payments and improve processes
What you will be doing
- Ensure all direct debits, refunds and payments are posted and accurately allocated.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unidentified cash and any over/under payments.
- Monitor unallocated cash
- Take card payments, and ensure appropriate cover is in place
- Monitor the cash allocation inbox, ensuring all queries are resolved within the agreed SLA.
- Work Collaboratively with the AR and Credit Control teams to ensure a joined-up approach
- Support accurate reconciliations and financial reporting
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of two years in a finance role, ideally with Cash Allocation or Accounts Receivable
- High Level of accuracy, with strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident working with finance systems and large volumes of data
- Proficiency in finance systems and excel (e.g VLOOKUP's, basic pivot tables in a plus)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of liaising with multiple stakeholders such as residents, families and internal colleagues
- Collaborative approach and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement
