Are you a sports coach with energy, resilience, and a passion for supporting young people? Are you looking to take the next step towards a career in education?
We're working with a fantastic school in Newcastle that is looking for individuals with sports coaching backgrounds to work on a supply basis as Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).
⚠️ Please note: This is not a sports coaching role.
You will be based in the classroom, supporting learners across the whole curriculum. However, your skills in motivation, structure, and behaviour management often make sports coaches a great fit for these settings.
You'll be working closely with learners who have ADHD, ASD, and may display challenging behaviours. Many pupils come from trauma-informed backgrounds or have involvement with social services, so empathy, consistency, and patience are essential. Support will take place on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, across various age ranges.
