The Opportunity
We're proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing company based in Brackley, working across Automotive, Formula One, and Medical sectors. They're expanding their Design Engineering Team and are seeking a CAD Designer with experience in CATIA to help implement this as their core CAD platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, high-precision environment where your work supports the design of tooling for composite components.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce technical tooling drawings to ensure manufacturability and assembly
- Model components to customer specifications using CATIA
- Interpret and compare data models and 3D notes
- Create and manage BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Liaise with internal teams
- Develop internal manuals and drawing standards
- Provide design-related support to production and other areas.
About You
- Proficient in CATIA with knowledge of composite manufacturing
- Experience in component or tooling design
- Confident understanding of technical/laminate drawings
- Familiar with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communicator with good time management and organisational skills
