Ice Rink Supervisor – Seasonal Role
Fixed-term Contract | Full-time & Part-time | AM/PM Shifts
LaplandUK is the UK’s leading immersive Christmas experience, bringing original festive storytelling to life through world-class sets, character performance, and magical environments. Now in its 18th season, over 170,000 guests each year journey through snowy forests, theatrical worlds, and enchanting experiences—including our iconic outdoor ice rink.
We’re looking for confident, proactive individuals to join our Operations Team as Ice Rink Supervisors, leading the delivery of a safe and unforgettable skating experience for thousands of families this Christmas.
The Role
As an Ice Rink Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily operations of LaplandUK’s beautifully themed ice rink—affectionately known as the Frozen Pond. You'll lead a team of Rink Marshalls, ensure health and safety protocols are followed, and support the wider guest journey through calm leadership and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Run a safe, well-organised rink operation in line with company procedures
Lead daily team briefings and maintain high morale across your shift
Assist the Guest Experience Manager with scheduling and shift coordination
Communicate guest feedback and report incidents or hazards promptly
Uphold LaplandUK’s accessibility and inclusion policies across the team
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth guest flow
Respond professionally to operational or safety incidents
Support VIP and PR visits when required
Complete all necessary training and e-learning modules
What We’re Looking For
You may already be a supervisor or team lead in a guest-facing role—or have experience working in live events or attractions. What matters most is your ability to keep calm under pressure, lead a team confidently, and maintain a high standard of safety and service.
Requirements:
At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
Strong understanding of health and safety in operational settings
Ability to motivate a team and communicate clearly under pressure
Confidence using basic digital systems (e.g. scheduling, comms tools)
Friendly, solutions-focused mindset
Experience in visitor attractions or events is a bonus, not essential
Pay & Perks
£17.00 per hour
One free hot meal per shift
Paid breaks
Unlimited tea, coffee, and soft drinks
Staff discounts in LaplandUK retail shops
Free on-site parking
Staff canteen and discounts
A supportive, welcoming team culture in a truly magical setting
