Crynodeb
As an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of the neonatal medical team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to neonates requiring Level 2 and Level 3 support. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for neonates and their families. Act as a clinical leader and role model within the neonatal team. Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols. Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and audits. Contribute to workforce planning and rota coordination where appropriate. Provide mentorship and clinical supervision to junior staff, students, and trainee ANNPs. Deliver teaching sessions and contribute to the ongoing education of the neonatal team. Maintain own professional development and revalidation requirements. Communicate sensitively and effectively with families, providing updates and involving them in care decisions. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including midwives, obstetricians, paediatricians, and allied health professionals. Support families emotionally and practically, signposting to relevant services when needed.
