Summary
The post is located within the Camden & Islington Personality Disorder Service, provided by the North London NHS Foundation Trust.
The service is made up of a Community Team, Liaison Team, and a Therapies Team. This post is located within the Therapies Team, which currently consists of three treatment streams: Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Transference Focused Psychotherapy for Personality Disorder.
The role supports the service through contributing to the assessment of people referred to the service via both initial referral screening and face to face assessment, team clinical supervision, assisting in running psycho-education groups, reception duties, clinical administration and data analysis, and by contributing to service development
The post-holder will be a core member of the service, supervised and line-managed by Clinical Psychologists.
1. Assisting in the assessment of people referred to the Personality Disorder Service.
2. Assisting in the running of psychoeducation groups.
3. Participating in and taking the minutes of service meetings.
4. Supporting reception and forming part of the Duty service.
5. Helping with clinical administration; maintaining databases and data reporting.
6. Research, audit and service evaluation.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
CLINICAL / OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist in the assessment of service-users.
2. Assisting in the running of psychoeducation groups
3. To assist in the formulation and delivery of psychological interventions and care plans, under the supervision of a qualified professional.
4. To attend and contribute to relevant multi-professional meetings.
POLICY, SERVICE, ORGANISATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist in the design and implementation of research, audit, and service development projects.
To inform evidence-based practice through literature searches and the critical analysis of research.
To help design, develop, and implement systems for recording clinical activity and outcomes.
To undertake data collection and analysis. To produce reports and summaries using databases and statistical programmes as required.
To receive supervision for all work undertaken.
To participate in an agreed programme of training and professional development to develop clinical knowledge and professional practice.
To contribute to the training and support of other staff in psychological care.
GENERAL
All staff are responsible for continual compliance with CQC standards and outcomes.
