Lead Veterinary Surgeon - St Helens

• Enjoy the rare opportunity to shape and grow a clinic, bringing your own vision and leadership to life in a supportive environment.
• Work with autonomy and confidence, combining hands on clinical excellence with the chance to mentor and inspire a close knit team.
• Be part of an exciting journey of development and transformation, with the potential to expand services and make a lasting impact.
• Lead the way with a salary from £65,000 - £75,000 DOE & generous benefits package as you take charge of a much loved community practice ready for its next chapter

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take the helm of a well-loved small animal practice in St Helens – a role perfect for a motivated vet ready to leave their mark on a clinic with deep community roots. This practice may have a compact layout, with one consult room and a small theatre, but it’s equipped with all the core diagnostic tools and packed with character – the ideal canvas for someone with a clear clinical vision and the ambition to shape its future.

The new Lead Vet will be stepping into a role with huge potential for growth and development, offering the chance to not only lead but also to drive change and innovation, creating a practice that reflects their ethos and standards of care. You’ll bring at least five years’ UK small animal experience, strong general practice skills, and the confidence to work sole charge, as well as the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a supportive team around you.

This is a role for someone who loves both medicine and leadership – whether you have a soft tissue or orthopaedic PgCert (a bonus but not essential) or simply the drive to nurture a high quality, client focused service, your input will help shape the clinic’s next chapter. If you’re looking for a rare opportunity to blend hands-on clinical work with true influence over a practice’s future, this position offers the perfect platform to make your mark!
