Your new role
We are working with a school in the St Helens area who are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early childhood education to work within their reception class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to make a real difference. This position is to start in September on a full-time temporary contract with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
Key duties are but not limited to:
- Support the development of children's social, emotional and motor skills
- Support the teacher in delivering the curriculum
- Ensure all children are engaged in learning and activities
- Develop children's language skills
- Work with smaller groups to support their learning development
- Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour
What you'll need to succeed
- Full right to work in the UK
- DBS
- Experience working with young children
- Level 2 TA qualification desirable
- Compassionate and Patient
- Great communication skills
- Proactive and enthusiastic
