Summary
Pipe Fitter Needed in Manchester:
- Location: Manchester
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00–16:30; Friday, 07:00–15:30 (44 hours per week, flexibility given and required)
- Salary: £19–£23 per hour
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a leading specialist in vehicle conversions and coach building, is looking for an experienced and passionate Pipe Fitter to join their expanding Manchester-based team. Key Responsibilities for the Pipe Fitter:
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding
- Thread and bend pipes by hand or using machines
- Repair systems using various welding and plumbing techniques
- Attach pipework securely to structures and eliminate water ingress
- Seal routes of pipework and check for leaks or weak joints
- Carry out welding, soldering, brazing, and fusing of pipework
- Read and interpret drawings/specs to plan and install piping systems in vehicles
- Perform testing on completed work to ensure quality and compliance
What We’re Looking For from the Pipe Fitter:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical or Pipe Fitter
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own transportation or reliable access to sit
- A positive attitude aligned with company values: Respectful, Rewarding, Reliable
