Responsible For: No direct reports. Responsibilities include supporting the training of colleagues.
Location: • Office based 30 Frog Island, Off North Bridge Place, Leicester, LE3 5AG with some flexibility to work from home.
Daily travel to schools across Leicestershire.Office based with WFH and weekly travel to schools across Leicestershire

Leicestershire Education Business Company seeks to appoint a School Events Co-ordinator to join our Careers Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering bespoke careers events in schools and colleges to help prepare young people for the world of work.
The School Events Co-ordinator will be expected to provide an innovative service that keeps pace with the ever-changing needs of both education and the world of work, ensuring that high levels of customer service are provided to schools and colleges who commission our services. We have a reputation for delivering interactive and engaging events where students taking part can learn more about the key skills that promote success in the workplace and understand further the different careers available to them in the future.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities:
Event Organising & MarketingTo achieve our income targets set for the academic year through building on previous years event bookings and generating new bookings.To demonstrate excellent organisation skills and to be able to prioritise work to ensure the management, organisation and attendance of events.To maintain regular relationships with schools and colleges and to retain existing business and to win new opportunities which will include the development of new activities.To create resources to match customer requirements. This could include:Briefing volunteers for both primary and secondary events Preparing student resources for both primary and secondary events Marketing our events by using social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and the company website.To gather student, teacher and employer feedback and demonstrate impact of the events for schools and stakeholders.To explore opportunities to generate sponsorship from businesses to support the events programme.Employer Recruitment
To recruit inspiring, influential employer volunteers a wide variety of businesses and backgrounds who can communicate well with students, to tell their story about their business and sector.To lead the relationship building of existing business volunteers and key company contacts.To attend networking events to meet new employers’ volunteers.To keep the database records up to date, so that other staff can see the history of the employer relationship.To host and promote employer network meetings at LEBC, to build and encourage further relationships.Careers Education
To support the wider Careers team with careers information, advice and guidance in schools, colleges and adult work as required. To ensure that the Gatsby benchmarks are at the forefront of all activities.This job description is not definitive or exhaustive and it may be reviewed in the light of changing circumstances.
The post holder will be office based but should be willing to travel extensively to schools and other sites across Leicestershire. On occasion there may be a requirement to attend meetings and training further afield in the East Midlands. Expenses will be paid in accordance with LEBC guidelines.
The nature of the work may occasionally involve the postholder carrying duties outside of normal working hours, such as supporting school parents events and careers Fairs. Overtime working is paid as time off in lieu.
The postholder may be required to attend, from time to time, training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her own training needs and the needs of the company.
