Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality Engineering Landing Gear and Fuel team based primarily at the client’s facility in Filton, Bristol. The team was established in 2015 with the mission to drive the achievement of engineering quality across the lifecycle, for all programmes/projects, in partnership with the Design Office and other stakeholders. As part of the mission the Process Assurance represents a major activity in terms of safety, certification and airworthiness of these ATAs in addition to satisfying customer expectations in terms of overall quality. The position is mainly based on managing and delivering Process Assurance tasks and deliverables.

*60% of the role will be worked from the client’s facility, the rest will be hybrid/remote working*

Responsibilities:

• Support planning of all process assurance activities by liaising with project managers and engineers
• Liaise with the Design Office and other stakeholders to support the deployment of relevant processes
• Review and provide feedback on planning activities, including related documentation, to secure deployment of applicable processes for the system development
• Perform detailed validation and verification quality checks across the lifecycle of the system development [Systems and Software Engineering - System Life Cycle Processes, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288] and document results such as:

• Check completeness of requirements cascade and their correct definition
• Check applicability of verification results with respect to requirement validation
• Check effectiveness of the management of potential non-compliances.
• Perform detailed documentation quality checks, for some of the system development deliverables, and document results.
• Attend and support process assurance meetings by presenting results of quality checks and defining recovery actions.
• Compile process assurance documentation and manage document validation with various stakeholders
• Compile, deliver and present relevant reporting on process assurance status to different stakeholders
• The position may require additional activities in support of the overall mission


Experience:

• Must have Quality background in an engineering capacity
• Knowledge and skills in Systems Engineering
• Knowledge and skills in Auditing/Surveillance
• Any prior experience in quality checks (Understanding of V & V checks/ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288) highly beneficial
• Proven leadership ability, such as interacting and influencing
• A level of academic qualification in Engineering and previous Quality Management experience in the Aerospace industry would be advantageous
