We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a leading logistics client based in Newark (NG24). Whether you're looking for day or night shifts, full-time or part-time hours, we can offer flexible, ongoing work to suit your availability.
About the Role
We have both day and night shifts available, and you can choose your preferred working pattern. The operation runs Monday to Friday, 24 hours a day, so we are confident we can accommodate most shift preferences.
Day Shifts – Store Deliveries
You will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores. Drivers are required to move the load to the rear of the trailer, where it will be unloaded by on-site store staff using forklift trucks, pump trucks, or a tail lift. No handballing is required.
Night Shifts – RDC Deliveries
Night drivers will be delivering to regional distribution centres (RDCs). You will be expected to reverse onto the loading bay; warehouse teams will handle loading and unloading. This is a straightforward and clean trunking role with minimal interaction required.
Shift Patterns
Operating hours: 24/7 Monday to Friday
Flexible start times to suit early birds or night owls
Regular ongoing work, with opportunities for additional shifts if desired
Part-time roles also available – ideal if you're looking for a better work-life balance or supplementary income
Pay Rates
PAYE: £170.00 per day
PAYE Umbrella: £210.00 per day
Ltd Company Drivers: £210.00 per day
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
A minimum of 1 year’s experience driving Class 1 vehicles
A valid Digi Tacho card and Driver CPC
No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DR or IN convictions)
