Little Swans Day nursery is a well established and thriving childcare setting in yardley, Birmingham. We have been supporting children and local families in our community since 2001. Our nursery is highly regarded for its inclusive ethos, strong links to local schools, Millie's Mark accreditation and the Startwell Award. Little Swans is a 80 + childcare setting and we are looking for an experienced, passionate and organised deputy manager to help lead our dedicated team and support the continued delivery of outstanding care and education.
Working Hours
Term Time only
Monday - Friday 7.30am - 2pm
Half hour break per day unpaid
Responsibilities
Support the nursery manager in the day to day running of the setting
Lead and supervise staff to ensure a high standard of teaching and care
To lead and implement the nursery curriculum and EYFS Planning, quality improvement and room organisation
Office based and to lead the curriculum
Act as deputy safeguarding lead
Build strong relationships with children, parents and staff
Oversee health and safety, risk assessment and staff training
Step in as manager in their absence
Support during regulatory visits such as Ofsted
To cover the nursery managers annual leave and absence
