An exciting opportunity has become available within Dorset HealthCare. We are looking for someone with excellent computer and communication skills to work within the Dorset Bladder and Bowel Continence Service as a Secretary. Supervised by the Team Lead.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Answering the telephone and dealing with patient queries, passing messages onto clinician’s, taking referrals over the phone, booking appointments, appointment letters, scanning documents, checking emails and signposting accordingly.

Using the clinical computer systems mainly SystmOne and Essity Delivery Service, (our pad provision service) to ensure incoming queries are handled quickly and effectively – this will include dealing with; Registering patients to the service, appointments, clinic letters and discharges, documentation requests, room bookings, ordering stock, carrying out audits etc
