Summary


Toprovideasecretarialservicetotheconsultants, senior stroke team andconsultantsecretaries,andtocoverconsultantsecretariesduringperiodsofabsence,i.e.annualleave,sickness.

Toprovideadministrativesupporttothemedicalsecretariesincluding,answeringtelephonecalls,takingcomprehensivemessages,filling,scanningandanyother administrativedutiesrequired.
• Patient/ClientCare–telephonecontactwithpatientsandrelatives,andotherprofessionalbodies,anddealwithappropriately,asinstructedbyconsultantsecretaries and senior stroke team.
• Tomaintain,co-ordinateandorganizeappointments/meetingswithstaff,patientsortheirrelatives.
• Toworkcloselywiththeconsultantsecretaries, consultants and senior stroke team to provide full administrative support.

• Tosupporttheconsultants, senior stroke teamandconsultantsecretariesinprovidinganefficientsecretarialservice.Thiswillinvolvethetypingofclinicalcorrespondencei.e.clinicletters,reportsetc.underthesupervisionoftheconsultantsecretaries,usingaudio/DigitalDictation.
• DealappropriatelywithtelephonecallsfromGP’s,patients,medicalstaff,nursingstaff,hospitaldepartments etc.
• RequestnotesfromMedicalRecordsor prepare medical recordsensuringavailabilityforconsultantsandothermembersofthemedicalteam.
