We are looking for a personal assistant to support an 83-year-old gentleman to get out and about and to assist with some tasks around the house.
Our client has reduced mobility and has difficulty gripping with his hands due to stroke. In this role you will be assisting him in the house, making cups of tea and meal preparation. Our client would also like someone who could accompany him out of the house and support him engaging in a community-based social activity in a local hospitality setting. Being a driver would be of benefit in this role, but our client has a travel pass with a companion if needed.
There may also be times where personal care is needed, but this will be infrequent. One of the main tasks in this role will be companionship. Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
