TeacherActive is proud to be partnering with a range of SEND schools across Birmingham to recruit passionate and reliable Supply Teachers for the new academic year. These schools are dedicated to both academic development and the emotional, social, and behavioural progress of their students.

We are seeking dynamic team players ready to take on short-term roles with the potential to become long-term placements. You’ll bring a proactive approach, a flexible mindset, and a desire to adapt your teaching to meet the diverse needs of your pupils.

You’ll be working across various Key Stages with pupils who have diagnoses such as:

• Autism / ASD

  
  

• SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)

  
  

• PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)

  
  

• Challenging Behaviours

  
  

  A confident, adaptable approach and the ability to take initiative are essential for this role.

  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • ✅ Experience working with children with additional needs or disabilities

    
    

  • ✅ Experience supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and challenging behaviours

    
    

  • ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

    
    

  • ✅ Team-Teach or MAPA certification (desirable, not essential)
