Summary

If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Data and Applications Team as Data & Applications Architecture and Governance Manager.

The Architecture and Governance Manager will work with a wide range of colleagues across the organisation who are passionate about using data and technology to improve the lives of people with a learning disability.
What the role involves:

- Leading development of the architectural strategy and governance framework for Mencap's data and applications.
- Working with Mencap colleagues and external partners to ensure alignment with data and applications architecture and relevant governance areas.
- Close collaboration with Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer to ensure that data and applications are secure, protected and well-managed.
- Developing and maintaining logical and physical data models and maintaining metadata
- Being a subject matter expert in architecture and governance, keeping abreast of trends but remaining driven by organisational needs.
- Driving change, implementing effective processes and standards.

You will have :

- Significant experience of working in a senior information, data or applications architecture or governance role.

- Deep knowledge of

- Architecture and governance frameworks, data and application modelling and lifecycles,
- Relevant regulatory / legislative requirements, including GDPR and Global Privacy Standards.

- The following would be an advantage

- Relevant architecture and/or governance certifications,
- Knowledge of the data governance implications of AI,
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric / Purview,
- Not for profit / charity experience.

This is a hybrid role. Location is flexible, with travel expected to the London and Peterborough offices on occasion.
