A vacancy exists for a Domestic in Orkney’s Residential Services. The residential children’s service in Orkney is committed to providing a safe, stable and nurturing home setting for looked after children. We are seeking a Domestic who will be committed to maintaining a positive and safe environment for children and young people and to work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies ensuring that the building is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
The applicant will at all times adhere to confidentiality in matters relating to children and young people and their families, staff and other Service matters.
You would also be expected to attend team meetings on an ad hoc basis. In return, you will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
Applicants must have experience of basic cleaning duties, cleaning equipment and chemicals and hold a good standard of education including literacy and numeracy.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
