This role is to come to work for the Home to school transport team where we support over 1000 children to get to school each day via taxi, minibus's and bus passes.
This role is to cover the Transport Officers (Assessment and PA's) role for three months. The role is split between two officers and the requirements which needs fulfilling is to be responsible for determining entitlement to all transport in accordance with changing statutory and local policies. This will also to include processing applications for social care transport which will include working with social workers to ensure transport is arranged as soon as possible with our procurement officer to ensure students are able to continue accessing education from their foster placements.
There will also be a requirement to assist with the Stage one and Stage two appeal paperwork.
This is an extremely busy service and you will need to be a very well organised person with excellent communication and IT skills with the ability to work effectively in a variety of situations with conflicting priorities. There will be a requirement to answer phone calls from a variety of customers including Parents, Passenger assistants, operators of our Home to school transport routes and schools
