Children’s Support Worker – Residential Care (EBD)
Location: Syston, LE7
Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 per year (including sleep-in enhancements)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Rota-based, including sleep-in shifts

We are currently recruiting Children’s Support Workers for a new residential home in Syston, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to help shape futures and provide stability and care to children who need it most.
What You'll Be Doing
• Providing daily care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people
• Helping to create a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment
• Supporting the implementation of care plans and therapeutic approaches
• Encouraging positive routines, independence, and healthy relationships
• Taking part in activities, outings, and key-working sessions
• Completing records, reports, and contributing to team discussions
• Working shifts on a rota, including sleep-ins (paid in addition)
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience working in a children’s residential care home is essential
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the nature of the role
