We're looking for a Credit Control Manager to join Co-op Business Services (CBS). CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day'.
As a Credit Control Manager, you'll provide crucial financial assistance for our colleagues across the business, guiding the Credit Control team through large-scale transformation projects and making sure our colleagues always deliver a great service. You'll be recognised as an expert in your field and have a key role to play in defining the credit control strategy and collections process.
We'll look to you to lead the end-to-end credit control process to make sure we have complete, accurate and timely collections with minimal financial loss to support the commercial performance of our business, and the effective management of our working capital. What you'll do
* Manage the end-to-end credit control process to make sure we have complete, accurate and timely collections with minimal financial loss
* Make sure customer queries are resolved quickly and accurately by the team
* Design and implement an end-to-end credit control process which results in achieving cash optimisation targets agreed with our senior business leaders
* Develop and implement a robust control framework which supports an accurate and effective end-to-end credit control process
* Lead the team through a significant period of transformation and change and support any change programmes with design decisions that result in an efficient and effective credit control process
* Support the team in driving continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and best practice
* Drive a high performance culture through coaching and developing the team
* Be responsible for the accuracy and timely sharing of cash forecasts with relevant partners
* Build strong working relationships with senior leaders across the different business areas
* Manage the effectiveness of third-party suppliers, seeking the best return on investment
This role would suit people who have
* An excellent understanding of credit control best practices
* Previous experience working in a shared services environment
* Experience of project implementation
* Experience of using Finance/Accounts Receivable tools such as SAP
* The ability to confidently use Microsoft Excel to a high level (Pivot tables, V-Looks, Formulas, Functions etc.)
* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to operate with senior leaders across the business, challenging and influencing where necessary
* Proven experience of leading, mentoring and developing a team of 4+ colleagues
