Finance Clerk - 12 month FTC ( Maternity cover role)

Are you a highly organised and detail-focused individual with a passion for finance? Jarvie Plant is seeking a Finance Clerk to join our busy Finance Team during a period of maternity cover. Based at our Head Office in Newbridge, this is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting our financial operations.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across various departments, including our operations and workshop teams.

How This Role Supports the Delivery of Our Hire Solutions:
You will contribute to the smooth running of our finance processes, supporting accurate invoicing, supplier management, and cash flow control—ensuring we can continue delivering reliable hire solutions to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
> Act as the first point of contact for finance related queries
> Process, match, and input supplier invoices using POP and Microsoft Dynamics GP
> Set up and maintain supplier accounts
> Investigate and resolve invoice queries, liaising with suppliers where required
> Process staff expenses and manage daily/weekly payment runs
> Handle BACS, cheque, and credit payments
> Maintain direct debit records and manage the aged creditors report
> Support audits and monthly finance reporting
> Review credit applications and perform credit checks
> Prepare Credit Committee reports and fortnightly updates
> Assist with debt recovery and management of escalated accounts
> Provide general finance and administrative support as needed

> Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role
> High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
> Strong numerical and analytical skills
> Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities – confident liaising with both internal teams and external suppliers
> A proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to manage queries and disputes professionally
> The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or above)
> Experience using finance systems such as inspHire and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP (desirable)
