TeacherActive is working in partnership with a well-established nursery in Maldon, who are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role – Nursery Practitioner

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s development and wellbeing, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.

  
  

• Promoting children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development through play and structured learning.

  
  

• Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress to ensure individual learning plans are followed.

  
  

• Building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

  
  

• Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of children at all times, following safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  
  

• Contributing to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery environment.

  
  

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive setting.

  
  Requirements – Experience and Qualifications

  To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (Level 3 desirable).

    
    

  • Proven experience working in an early years setting.

    
    

  • A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework.

    
    

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    
    

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

    
    

  • A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.

    
    

  • The right to work in the UK.
