Are you a compassionate, motivated individual with experience supporting young people? This fantastic Learning Mentor opportunity places you in a well-regarded Bexley secondary school, working closely with students across Key Stage 4 as they navigate the crucial GCSE years.

This inclusive and student-centred school is known for its strong pastoral care, ambitious leadership, and commitment to personal development. As a Learning Mentor, you’ll provide targeted support to pupils who may be struggling with academic, behavioural or emotional challenges—helping them stay focused, motivated and ready to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring for students in Years 10 and 11
• Supporting pupils with academic engagement, exam preparation and personal development
• Helping students overcome social, emotional, or behavioural barriers to learning
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement support plans
• Monitoring attendance, punctuality and progress of key students
• Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult in the school community

Ideal Learning Mentor For This Bexley School:
• Graduate or experienced mentor with a passion for supporting young people
• Calm, empathetic and resilient, with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in education, youth work, tutoring or similar settings is highly desirable
• Available full-time from September through July
• Eager to make a meaningful impact before progressing into teaching, psychology, counselling or social care
