Position: Electrical Improver
Location: Middleton
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week (Basic)
Duration: Permanent

£15.76 per hour PAYE plus overtime

Overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours (including travel time)

Saturdays: First 6 hours at time and a half, double time thereafter

Sundays: Double time all day

Our client based in Middleton are looking for a reliable, loyal, and proactive Electrical Improver, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A strong work ethic and a flexible attitude is essential, particularly regarding travel and working away from home.

Electrical Improver Key Responsibilities:

• Work to the required quality and safety standards
• Carry out tasks as directed by the site supervisor
• Glanding and terminating SWA-type cables
• Installation of cable trays, trunking, and conduit
• Installation of SWA cabling and distribution boards
• General industrial electrical installations

Essential Qualifications / Experience for an Electrical Improver:

• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Valid CCNSG

Electrical Improver Desirable Qualities:

• SHEA Passport (not essential)
• Strong communication skills
• Able to liaise with clients and site teams at all levels
• Willing and able to travel at short notice and work away Monday–Friday
• Flexible with working hours including overtime
• Good awareness of Health & Safety on site
