About the Role
Are you a data-savvy, systems-focused professional with a passion for public service? Bury Council is looking for a highly motivated Team Officer Business Improvement to join our Corporate Collection and Support team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing service delivery, improving system functionality, and supporting the Council’s Let’s 2030 Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing key systems and software to improve service performance.
- Leading on data reconciliation, reporting, and quality assurance to support operational excellence.
- Contributing to the Council’s annual billing and mailing process and digital transformation initiatives.
- Providing accurate and timely data for Freedom of Information requests, statutory returns, and Housing Benefit Subsidy claims.
- Supporting the development of cost-effective, accessible digital services for residents and stakeholders.
- Assisting in training colleagues and maintaining communication templates and documentation.
About You
- Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality service in a data-led or multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and apply it to daily operations.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
You will be based at the Council Offices at 6 Knowsley Place, Bury.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
