Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Position Type: Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and complex learning difficulties?
We are looking for a committed and caring professional to join a supportive and inclusive school in Stockport.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN and complex needs, including PMLD, ASC, MSI, and sensory impairments
- Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support students with personal care and mobility needs where required
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support individual learning plans
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to progress reviews
- Encourage communication, independence, and social development through structured activities
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma - essential
- Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) - must be current or willing to apply
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a UK school
- Experience supporting students with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with moving and handling in educational or care settings - desirable
