We're seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and progressive secondary independent school that supports students with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a passionate educator looking for a long-term career move.

About the School

The school offers a therapeutic, small-class environment where students aged 11-18 are supported through a trauma-informed, highly individualised curriculum. You'll be joining a warm and collaborative staff team dedicated to holistic development.

Your Role
  • Deliver engaging, adapted lessons aligned with EHCPs and behaviour plans

  • Use creative methods to boost engagement, communication, and independence

  • Build trusted relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families

  • Work collaboratively with pastoral, behavioural, and therapeutic staff

  • Support the emotional and social development of students

Requirements
  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in an SEN or alternative provision setting

  • Strong understanding of SEMH, ASC, and behaviour management

  • Resilience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to diverse needs
