• Treat a diverse patient group, including those requiring complex orthotic interventions, in both outpatient clinics and inpatient ward settings.
• Work within a multidisciplinary environment, including joint clinics for Diabetic Foot, Neurology, Paediatrics, Complex Footwear, and Spinal care.
• Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement projects within the department and across the therapies and rehabilitation pathways.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development through regular in-service training, protected CPD time, and involvement in departmental projects.
• Participate in the department’s service management tasks, including team leadership and the development of new clinical initiatives.
Additional Benefits:
• Work in an acute trust with a major trauma unit and spinal centre, providing care to a diverse and often complex patient population.
• Access to a well-equipped in-house workshop with dedicated technical support.
• Opportunities for professional development, including weekly training sessions, service development participation, and CPD activities.
• Engagement in a variety of clinics, including multi-disciplinary and joint Orthotist clinics.
• Time allocated within the job plan for managerial responsibilities, mentoring, and service development.
