This is an exciting opportunity for an education professional to join our team and support the schools and colleges of the Archdiocese in its wider educational mission. You will be based within the Education Department at the St. Margaret Clitherow Centre with the post involving travel and direct work with our schools, colleges and academies across the whole archdiocese.

As a department we are focused on improving the standards of education, thereby ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality Catholic education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting Prayer and Liturgy, Catholic life and Mission and Religious Education in the schools, colleges and academies of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. We are seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about the quality of prayer and liturgy offered in our schools and who will be excited to support schools in this area.
You must be comfortable in building relationships and offering training and support to schools to bring about improvement.

To thrive in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
-Evidence of recent relevant professional development, qualified teacher status or relevant degree.
-Relevant experience of leadership within the primary sector.
Experience of delivering high quality prayer and liturgy at school or parish level.
-Excellent presentation skills and confident in the use of technology.
-Strong leadership skills, knowledge of school frameworks and capacity to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with stakeholders at all levels.
-The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in your work.

Within this role you will be expected to:
-Develop and deliver training and formation events on prayer and liturgy.
-Advise schools on guidelines and good practice.
-Liasie with Clergy and governors on the requirements of the Prayer and Liturgy Directory.
-Work alongside the primary Religious Education Advisors in the developments of the RE Directory.

Salary
Religious Education (Prayer and Liturgy) Advisor £17,595.76- £ 21,999.60 (2 days per week)
FTE £44,000- £54,999.

Working Hours
Part time, Contracted hours are 14 per week to be worked Monday and Tuesday.

Annual leave
38 days which includes eight bank/public holidays and set complimentary days.

Pension
Employees will be enrolled into the People’s Pension Scheme with a contribution rate of 3% and 5% contributed by the employer. The archdiocese will match employee contributions up to 6% of their pensionable salary.
