Title: Senior Programme Officer - Education

Reports to: Senior Programme Manager

Contract Type: Fixed term until August 2026

Location: Based from our Liverpool office with some flexibility to work from home, subject to business requirements and line manager approval. Regular travel in and around the Liverpool City Region including North Birkenhead, Wirral.

Hours: Full Time, 5 days per week (37.5 Hours) Worked between Monday- Friday

Salary: Grade 4 £28,539 - £30,865 (5% employer pension contribution, Medicash and group life assurance, 27 days annual leave per annum for FTE plus bank holidays)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expert organisational and people skills who will be the reliable, positive, “go-to” person for our Education programmes in North Birkenhead. You will be playing a pivotal role in supporting high quality local programme delivery and fostering positive relationships with external partners and agencies.

As a Senior Programme Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting staff in the North Birkenhead Cradle to Career programme to deliver a high quality programme with maximum impact. This will include a core focus on leading the coordination of the Education strand of Cradle to Career, with additional responsibility for the delivery and oversight of key workstreams.

The core objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:

-Providing robust coordination of Education strand of Cradle to Career
Managing the high quality delivery of key workstreams within the Education strand (including Early Years speech and language, literacy, transition and attendance support)
-Influencing operational relationships and, when required, those at a strategic level
-Leading processes and systems for robust administration and coordination of a complex programme
-Coordinating programme related external and internal communications activity

You will also support the team to deliver an ambitious evaluation and sustainable practice workstream, as the programme moves into the final year of deliver
