We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Environmental Health Officer - Grade 1 (Grade K) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding public health and the environment by conducting inspections, enforcing regulations, and providing guidance on environmental health issues. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation, investigating complaints regarding potential hazards, and educating the community on best practices for health and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to promoting a clean and safe environment for all citizens while also balancing the needs of businesses and the community. You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local businesses, and community organizations, to ensure that environmental health standards are upheld. Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with environmental health regulations.
Investigate complaints related to environmental health issues such as noise pollution, waste management, and food safety.
Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and follow up on corrective actions as necessary.
Educate the public and local businesses about environmental health standards and best practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and programs related to environmental health.
Collaborate with other government agencies and community organizations to address environmental health concerns.
Stay updated on local, state, and federal environmental health laws and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
Knowledge of environmental health legislation and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in conducting inspections and investigations is preferred.
Proficiency in data collection and report writing.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £28.88
Location: Tower Hill, Central London
