Job Description
Gentleman has a brain injury caused by a double aneurysm, strokes and brain bleed. He has had two emergency brain surgeries which have resulted in his being sight impaired and having lost 75% of vision in his right eye. He was paralysed on his right side for a while but with intense therapy this has improved. He still has mobility issues on right side. Personal assistant will be required to take gentleman to a number of his favourite groups such as walking group, fitness group and more. Personal Assistant will need to be a like minded individual and share the joy in activities that need to be supported in. No personal care involved only some prompting to remind to gentlemen to use the toilet. The role will include supporting on public transport and route planning as well as supporting with meal prep, budgeting and gaining independence. Driver will be required as support will be needed to get to some of these activities. Personal assistant will also need to support with daily physio.
Support will be required on the following days -
Monday & Tuesday -9am til 4pm
Wednesday & Thursday - 3 hours per day
PA will need to have a valid DBS or willing to obtain
