Our client is seeking a dedicated Unit Co-Ordinator to play a key role in the smooth and effective operation of a busy Children and Families social work unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital services that make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and maintain systems to support the smooth running of the social work unit.
Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, managing communications with professionalism and sensitivity.
Provide front-facing support to children and families, ensuring a compassionate and calm approach at all times.
Organise and manage diaries, appointments, meetings, and venues for team members.
Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and key processes such as child protection visits and reviews.
Accurately minute weekly case planning and other professional meetings.
Maintain up-to-date case awareness to support the team in managing complex family situations.
Collate management data and support reporting and project work as required.
Handle financial processes, arrange transport, and coordinate medical and other appointments for children and families.
Manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Draft high-quality routine correspondence and maintain electronic records and filing systems.
Manage office supplies, equipment, and general administration tasks.
Essentials:
You will have proven experience in a similar administrative/coordinator role, ideally within social care or a related setting.
Demonstrates excellent minute-taking and organisational skills.
Confident using a range of IT systems and willing to learn new tools.
Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Calm, empathetic, and professional when dealing with sensitive situations.
Works well under pressure and can prioritise a busy workload.
