JOB TITLE: Lead Service Designer

Pay rate: £213.62 per day PAYE
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote with some travel to offices in Cardiff.



The role:

we are seeking an experienced Lead Service Designer to support the delivery of key GP service projects and activities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping user-centred design approaches within a complex health and care landscape.

You will lead on research and service design activities, influence senior stakeholders, and coach teams to adopt best practices in user research and agile service development.

Mainly Remote working. Good chance of project extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and develop other user researchers to assure and improve research practice.
Coach, train and mentor others and give direction on which tools or methods to use.
Responsible for delivery of a core training programme on specialist research processes across the wider directorate programme and services.
Act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
Effectively get buy-in from the organisation.



What the client is looking for:

Educated to Masters level or equivalent qualification / experience
Practical experience, working at this level, across the range of work procedures and practices.
FEDIP Senior Practitioner, or equivalent recognised Advanced Professional qualification is desirable
Proven experience as a senior user researcher or service designer.
Strong understanding of digital technologies and Agile delivery.
Demonstrated experience of a broad range of user research methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
CXA - Certified User Experience Analyst is desirable
Information Acquisition skills to understand a problem or situation and devising a means of resolving them.
Agility skills to adapt style and approach to meet the needs of different audiences.
