St Mary’s CE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Before and After School Club Leader to inspire and manage our vibrant club. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the daily lives of our pupils, providing them with memorable experiences and a supportive space before and after the school day.
About the Role
As our Club Leader, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Before & After School Club. Your main duties will include:
- Leading and supervising a small team of club assistants.
- Planning and delivering a diverse range of engaging activities, games, and creative projects for children.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the club at all times, adhering strictly to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating atmosphere where children feel happy, secure, and encouraged to learn and play.
- Managing club resources and maintaining a tidy, organised environment.
- Communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and the wider school community.
- Administering first aid as required (training can be provided).
- Managing club registers and attendance records accurately.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Experienced in working with primary school-aged children in a childcare, educational, or club setting.
- A natural leader with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Creative, energetic, and able to inspire children’s interests.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Playwork, or equivalent.
Working Hours
The club operates Monday to Friday, term-time only.
- Before School: 7:30 am 8:45 am
- After School: 3:15 pm 5 pm
